Part of a series of textual quilts made during 2020 shelter-in-place orders, this small art piece reads “wtf” in black on a white background. This piece is handquilted with pale gray embroidery thread and backed with a monochromatic digitally printed cotton.
Even my smallest art pieces have thousands of hand stitches. I piece by machine then hand quilt and finish, which results in a rich texture. This is a display piece, intended as wall art. It measures 8.5″x13″ and is appropriate for hanging on a wall.
Art quilts are made for form more than function and are more delicate than my other pieces. If you want a quilt for regular use, please consider my functional quilts, which are sturdier and better sized for non-art applications.
